You Shall Overcome!! – Daily Word January 17, 2011

Good Morning and Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!! Today marks the 82nd anniversary of Dr. Kings birth and in commemoration of his life we are dedicating today’s Daily Word to overcoming! One of the most prevalent and significant messages that Dr. King left us with was that as a people, as a community, and as a society we would get past all of the injustices and prejudices that separate us. While we have come a long way there is definitely more work that needs to be done but before we can tackle the bigger issue we need to overcome ourselves! It is a fact that those who do not love themselves CANNOT love others! The same fact goes for those who are trying to achieve a goal or aspiration! If you do not overcome your adversities you WILL NOT be successful! Obstacles are what give us the strength that is needed to succeed in life! If you cannot get past your adversities then your are doomed to a life of mediocrity! Be strong! Be courageous! Be resilient!…… Overcome all the things that life throws in your way and make you and the world a better place!
