What do you Expect!! – Daily Word July 9, 2010

Good Morning my good people and happy Friday! Last night was a somewhat disappointing night for me! First we saw injustice served in the Oscar Grant case (where a young man was shot in the back by a police officer because the cop thought he was pulling out his tazer gun). We had to sit back and watch as the police office was ONLY charged with involuntary manslaughter. Then we had Lebron James decision to go to the Miami Heats with Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh in his attempt to win a championship which was disappointing because besides wanting him to come to New York I wanted him to at least build his own legacy instead of chasing a win. Lastly the disproportionate coverage of the two aforementioned events which showed were our priorities were was absolutely a big disappointment. Despite that my disappointment came only because prior to both verdicts I had set an expectation that did not materialize. All that to say what? In life as you set expectations you are only setting yourself up for disaster if you have no control over the outcome! Fortunately when it comes to your life, dreams, & aspirations you are in total control and nine times out of ten you will get what you expect!! Expect to win and victory is yours!! Expect anything else…..then may God bless you! Make sure as you go through life you are setting expectations for yourself that will allow you to grow and become what you were destined to be; Great!! Life is what you make!! Make it do what it does!!
